Reichstag

The Reichstag is the location of the German parliament, similar to the US Capitol. The building was heavily damaged in WWII, and a new dome was needed to keep the legislators dry. The new dome is a glass marvel, opened in the 1990's. In keeping with the idea of transparency in government, visitors can gaze through a glass floor at their legislators in action.
